Goals are aspirational challenges that will cause a transformation in your life. In Ultimate Brain, Goals can contain Projects. Projects that have a Goal will also show up in that Goal’s Area.
Philosophically, Goals and Projects have many similarities - however, Goals are often broader, and contain Milestones that aren’t always directly actionable (e.g. “Cross $10,000 in Sales”). Therefore, Ultimate Brain treats Goals as “one level higher” than Projects. Goals can have Target Deadlines, contain project, and also contain a list of Milestones that can keep you motivated.
You can plan out your next quarter or year’s Goals and Projects in the 
Plan view. You can also plan Goals directly from Area pages.
