I had watched this for the first time when I was in high school, but I barely remembered a thing.
I had watched it for a second time last night on July 26, 2024. after spending the previous five days coping with the loss of my first love, Alyssa Chiaradia. I had a deep feeling that I should watch it for some reason. Maybe it was because it is the favorite movie of my friend Mason Carrington. who I will be seeing in a few days once I get to 
Boston. Either way, I knew it was meant to be because the themes of the movie were perfect for my current situation. Also, Skylar’s bedroom had a painting in it, La Danse., by Henri Matisse. which also was hanging right behind me in the apartment we are satying at in 
Athens. I took that as a sign.

I took that as a sign.- The main thing I learned from this movie is that one needs to embrace the uncertainty of love. Will is too afraid to love Skylar and be vulnerable with her because he is so afraid that she won’t love him back or will leave him. Robin Williams though had the worst possible thing happen to him and that is lose the love of his life and he still talks about how it was the greatest thing that ever happened to him and how amazing a risk it was. The movie is kind of about how love is life’s greatest adventure.
