Cycles.

Ideas:
  • The sun does it’s job every day.
  • The blood circulates in the body.
  • We must breathe again and again.
  • Alex Hormozi talks about how we want the meal that will never make us have to eat again, the sex that will make us never have to have sex again, to work so hard we never have to work again. This is a fallacy in thinking though. Life requires repetition and would be boring without it.
  • Learning and growth really only can come through doing the same thing over and over again. At first it is experienced as very difficult, but as you acquire skill it becomes easier and even pleasurable.
  • I have never read it, but I hear this is what Albert Camus’ book The Myth of Sisyphus is about. He imagines that he enjoys pushing that rock up that hill everyday.
  • I like to think of the sun in this way. I like to personify him. I like to think of the weight and pressure the sun felt each day when he was just beginning. He probably felt he wasn’t doing good. But he just showed up everyday and now he probably feels so good and free and powerful as he crossed the sky. He still has the days where he is slower to get up and needs to finish early, but ultimately he shows up everyday and completes the cycle.
  • Need to find the Emerson quotes I want to use. I think the are mostly in conduct of life.
  • Maybe, I can talk about to how we must do certain things everyday and it’s a blessing that we get to. How else will we pass the time? I used to ruminate, and do nothing. But eventually you realize it is to painful to do this. We need to be engaged with something. We can live our lives in our heads. We must live it in our hands. This is our work. We can be with others at all times either. We must spend the majority of our life alone, so me need to find the healthiest and most fulfilling ways to spend this solitude. Ideally the way that you’d pass your most fulfilling solitude can become your work.
  • Think of how Jesus says to take care of today’s matters today.
  • Goals shouldn’t be place on external things. Place them on tangible things that can be accomplished each day. I have found my best goals for each day to have only done actions that I am proud of and to have hit my pillow both exhausted and fulfilled. These are things that can be accomplished everyday They are not dependent on any outcomes. This makes life feel more fulfilling.
  • We must complete a cycle everyday, just as or blood must circulate, just as the sun must circulate, just as the sea must keep crashing into the shore. Choose good work, perform meaningful actions. Hit your pillow exhasted then wake up and do it all again.
