Today’s Work. Today I hope to:
- Complete Ralston Application Essay.
- If that is successfully completed:
- Complete Ralston Resume.
- If there is any spare time:
- I want to try to figure out the best way to break down and relate projects and tasks with my Endeavors database.
- Right now I can see my self doing it in two different ways.
- One would be to just use simple to-do lists and make an Endeavor Template come with a page for breaking down all big tasks.
- Then, you can have a daily log like I have done with digests and creates where you just each day reference back to the pages off the subpages on the to-do list for the things you’ve completed and worked on.
- The other would be to create a a Tasks database that you can breakdown all projects with and you’d relate all tasks back to its endeavor. This way seems to complicated to me though.
- I have just thought of a third way which would be a combination of the two. You have a tasks database. and you break don each project into to-do’s then as you can to assign due date you just make a task with that page linked. So if you click on the Title it brings you back to the endeavor.
- This Tasks database could be outside of the website.
About Today.
Today was pretty good. I made great progress on my Ralston Application Essay today, working for approximately 170 minutes. I finished my outline and then broke down the outline into its six parts. After, I tried to tackle writing each part, one at a time. Breaking the project down like this really helped me begin. It no longer seemed so overwhelming. I have learned this many times, but still always forget to break a project down when I feel like avoiding it.
Shira and the kids came sleep at my apartment. The kids and I made a video with my green screen, where they were set on the moon. It was pretty funny. I am trying to do more things with the kids. I am trying to do more active things as quality time with those I love since Alyssa. Laying around and just being with one another is nice in doses, but the stuff that matters is the active, adventurous, creative things you do with one another. Those are the things you really remember. I hope do more investment with my nieces and nephews in this way from here on out. They won’t learn much from philosophical discussion (although that has its place too and it will happen naturally if you just do stuff together), but they will learn plenty from building and doing with you as their example and guide.
God, I have so much regret about my time with Alyssa. I wish I could have invested more beautifully with her when I had her. I wish I could have served and loved her more, rather than just focusing on all the ways I felt she couldn’t serve and love me. I wish i would have been more active and more assertive. I wish I could have been her guide on beautiful and fulfilling adventures, rather than just wanting to lie around with her all day. Lord, there is nothing I can do to restore my time with her. It’s all over and can’t be changed. I learned so much though. I learned more with her than I ever have. For that I will always love her, for that she will always be the angel who saved me.
